Western culture often discounts the reality and significance of the Spirit within us. When it comes to mainstream “medicine,” including mental health practitioners, sometimes there are positive results, but they are often temporary, at the expense of harmful side effects, and / or dependent upon synthetic, pharmaceutical drugs.
Along with that, many see no problem with isolating attention to the soul / mind, or tending to it independently of the body; again, while ignoring the spirit. Even various parts of the body are sometimes viewed as unrelated to one another. To sum it all up, the Western approach to healing and wholeness often disconnects every part of a person from every other part; but God sees it differently.
Did you know that the spirit (sometimes thought of as the subconscious) knows EVERY word and event that has occurred throughout your life, and that trapped emotions can take up residence in your body, sometimes causing sickness, disease, and emotional repercussions even many years later? Even secular statistics indicate that as much as 90% of all sickness and disease is emotionally based. The same thing also occurs in reverse. Physical infirmities can influence the soul / mind, and create challenges for the spirit.
When presenting symptoms are addressed without treating root causes, potential problems are incubated to fester for another day. That reality applies to naturopathic-based health, healing, and wholeness practitioners as well.
What is Shalom?
The Bible introduces us to the Hebrew word “shalom”. Shalom is a concept that can be expressed as “nothing missing, nothing broken”. Shalom conveys the idea of wholeness in every area of life, including spirit, soul, and body.
In the Bible, the Hebrew word “shalom” is often translated as “peace.” Adam and Eve were created whole, in the image of God, with “nothing missing” and “nothing broken”: They were created in shalom, wholeness; at peace with God
“You will keep in perfect peace (shalom)
those whose minds (hearts) are steadfast,
because they trust in you.“
Even now, the devil continues to work to prevent God’s people from walking in the wholeness that God created you for (Acts 10:38).
Restoration, Healing, and Wholeness
Health, healing, and wholeness can come quickly, and it can sometimes be quite a process. Either way, as Apostle Paul said, we are to “work out your own salvation”. I help God’s people restore union with Him and facilitate life-changing, transformative inner and physical healing and wholeness. This is accomplished through impartation, prayer ministry, growing in faith, love, and perseverance, various Bible-based spiritual disciplines, and resting in the healing power of the Most High, the Creator and Divine God of the Bible.
I also utilize various synergistic naturopathic approaches that God has provided. Some of these disciplines include nutrition, functional fitness, and other related Bible-based principles.
In the course of our healing and wholeness ministry, it has been a blessing to see many of God’s people find healing in spirit, soul, and body.
