Isshin Combatives

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Apostle Peter

Isshin Combatives will help you to identify and release blockages that hold you back, build strength in spirit, soul/mind, and body, and stay safe spiritually, mentally, and physically, so that you can fulfill the plans and purposes God has for you.

Isshin (ee’-shee(n)
Isshin is a Japanese philosophical word that encompasses a set of ideas; there is no English equivalent. Isshin means to be of one mind, one focus: But along with that, isshin also conveys an all-consuming focus that unites the spirit, soul/mind, and body. Isshin signifies a total immersion of the whole being: it conveys undistracted, wholehearted involvement. It’s about aligning the whole self in union and intention. In our context, Isshin Combatives is first and foremost about living life harmoniously in isshin union with God.

Combatives
In the KOGA Combatives ministry, we cover a wide range of spiritual, mental, and physical principles, techniques, and disciplines to help you build inner strength and protect life. Along with a host of powerful spiritual principles, you will also learn about yourself, situational awareness, avoidance, and de-escalation. As the name indicates, we also include Combatives: A system of tactics and techniques developed from real-world combat and survival, designed to mitigate aggression and adapted to effectively address antisocial violence. Combatives are designed to preserve life in violent situations. They are not complicated, and they have no regard for flashiness or formality, making them easier to execute under duress.

Isshin Combatives

As God’s creation, you can live in the wholeness of His design. It’s the way we were created to live.

Isshin Combatives can help.

Isshin Combatives will help you live with a single focus on the strength of your union with God. Along the way, you will uncover the root causes holding you back. Various elements of Isshin Combatives help strengthen and train not only in combatives but also in health, healing, and wholeness.

God has decreed that you will be powerful.”
King David

Activate profound, Bible-based spiritual, mental, and physical disciplines that work together synergistically to strengthen and improve every area of life. Learn spiritual, mental, and physical skills and disciplines to help you confidently avoid spiritual and physical conflict and achieve physically nonviolent solutions. Develop spiritual insight, mental awareness, and physical skills to become stronger, more knowledgeable, and better able to fulfill your calling.

The way of Nonviolence is ALWAYS best. Learn discernment, awareness, avoidance, and de-escalationskills to prevent conflict and/or physical violence before it occurs.

But if you are thrust into an unavoidable situation in which evil is attempting to prevail, you will learn spiritual, mental, and physical skills to protect and facilitate life. Reality-based combatives do not require years to learn. Of course, the more you learn and the more you practice, the more proficient you will be. However, Combatives utilize gross motor skills, so that if it were necessary, much of what you learn could be put into service immediately.

Take your place in the Kingdom of God

Live the life that God created you for. Fulfill your calling. Use this knowledge and these skills to walk out the plans and purposes that God has for you in every area of life. Help keep yourself and others healthy, safe, sound, and productive spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Refuse to be a victim of evil. Say no to the devil and anyone (including parts of yourself) or anything else that purposes to interfere with your union with God and fulfilling His plans and purposes for your life. Be a light in a dark world.

We are not ignorant of the devil’s schemes. So put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against his schemes.
Apostle Paul
