Celebrating Passover and Unleavened Bread

Biblical holidays are not Jewish holidays. or feasts of the Jews. They are sometimes referred to as Feasts of the Lord, Appointed Times, or Moedim'..

There are seven of them throughout the year.

They are appointments with Yahweh God and you don't have to live in Israel to celebrate them.

Summary

In this 8 min. video I discuss the upcoming celebration of Passover and the beginning of Unleavened Bread which begins the following day. These Appointed Times of Yahweh God (Feasts of The Lord) are often misunderstood as Jewish holidays, but they are actually precious appointments that the Most High has made to meet all of His people. Yeshua is our Righteousness and He has made a way for us. But there are still aspects of our lives that need to be addressed such as removing sin, brokenness, addictions, et cetera. Join me as we reflect, meditate, and consider how we can remove the sin and embrace the wholeness of the Most High during this special time.

Hi, I’m Parson Rayphe with Chosen Glory. At the time of this recording, next week we’ll be celebrating one of the most celebrated, passionate times of the year in regards to Biblical Holy Days, or holidays: The Appointed Times of Yahweh God, the Divine, or “Feasts of the Lord”. It will be the time of Passover and the beginning of Unleavened Bread.

Biblical Holidays NOT Jewish Holidays

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that these are Jewish holidays: But they aren’t. If you’re so inclined, you can look at the Bible; specifically Leviticus 23:1. You will find that they’re actually not Jewish holidays. Rather they are precious appointments made for you, the Israel of God, with the Most High, the God of (Biblical) Israel. That is the way it is worded there “Speak to the children of Israel”: Not the Jews, but the children of Biblical Israel.

Yeshua is Your Righteousness

So if you’re in covenant with the Most High, then that means that you have entered into covenant with Yeshua. If that is the case then 1 Corinthians 1:30 says that He is your righteousness. Yeshua is your righteousness. You don’t have to do anything to earn it. He has already completed everything that is necessary for you.

You, your core being, your inner self; you as a spirit. You’re a spirit, with a soul, in a body. He has accomplished everything necessary for you.

Purge Everything that is Not of God From Your Life

But there are some natural things, some physical things that may need to be addressed in order for you to live in the wellness or wholeness that He has for you. There may be some brokenness, maybe some addictions: There could be many things.

Well 1 Corinthians 5:7 says to purge out therefore the old leaven so that you may be a new lump.

Even as the Messiah, our Passover has been sacrificed for us, you are already are “unleavened”. 1 Corinthians 5:7 says it so very well: Purge out therefore the old leaven that needs to be discarded so that there are no barriers between you and Him. That’s what Unleavened Bread is all about.

Passover is about celebrating that wonderful relationship that we have with Yeshua, our Passover lamb: He is the ultimate Passover lamb.

But then right after Passover is the very first day of Unleavened Bread. Part of the process that we go through in Unleavened Bread is to remove all of the leaven out of our homes as a picture of removing the sin from our lives. It’s an exercise to help us see on the outside what we are doing on the inside.

And so this a time for reflection: It’s a time for consideration and meditation to determine what you need to do in order to remove all of the leaven; or you might say all of the sin from YOUR life.

It’s an exercise to see what do you need to do in order to release everything that separates you from God in your life: Your personal life, your business life, every aspect of your life including your home.

It’s a Time for Men to Take the Lead

And so men, this is your opportunity to take the lead. It’s a time for you to step up and take on the role that the Most High has given you as leaders of your home.

Whether you’re living by yourself, whether you’re a son living with a family, whether you’re a father that is leading, guiding, protecting your family: Whatever the case, it’s Your opportunity to take the lead and demonstrate what the Most High has for His most precious creation.

Matthew 6:33, my life verse, says to seek first the Kingdom realm of the Most High God, Elohim.

Don’t Word HARDER… Rather just Let it Go!

So how do you do that? You release yourself. You release the sin. That’s exactly what Unleavened Bread is all about: Releasing the sin and brokenness from our lives – letting it go and giving it to Yeshua: It’s His, He paid for it.

You know that word sin is often misunderstood. It’s usually represented to be a mistake or something that we even purposefully do wrong. It can be those things but sin also means just missing the mark. In other words, sin can be doing your best but just having some problem that prevents you from being all that you can be in Yeshua.

And so Unleavened Bread is a reminder for us to do what ever it takes to release those things and seek Him so that we can allow Him to be what He wants to be in our lives: Our Rock, our Foundation, our healing, our Healer, our Love.

He wants to meet your needs: All of your needs. He wants to be to you as a loving husband is to a wife.

In regards to Yeshua, John 3:30 quotes John the Baptist as saying “He must increase, but I must decrease”. That’s a lot of what Unleavened Bread is about in regards to reminding us to release and let go of what shouldn’t be, in order to embrace the things that SHOULD be: The things of the Most High.

It’s a beautiful story.

While all of this is a simple concept it’s not always easy. Mentoring is all about supporting God’s people align with the Most High.
