It was about 25 years ago when I was awoken out of my sleep, in the middle of the night, to the words “You will see America unravel”. Ominous words. Back then I couldn’t even begin to imagine how that could possibly happen or what it might look like. Now it is nearly crystal clear.
But you don’t have to be prophetic to see how things are unfolding here in America and even throughout the entire world. Every respectable news outlet is reporting about it. Even main stream news mentions it from time to time now. And of course all of them seem to relish in dramatizing doom and gloom. More dramatic drama sells and gets clicks.
But there is another, glorious side of the story that I can pretty much say that I NEVER hear about. As a result of this deficit the masses are left wallowing in a filthy slop of doom, gloom, and negativity with no hope for the future.
BUT THERE IS HOPE!!!!
American Revivals of the past
While I have a particular interest in American history, perhaps my favorite aspect of American history is revival history.
In the past, even during the “Great Awakening” of the 1720’s – 1740’s, future awakenings, and then also during the great healing revival that occurred in the 1940’s and 1950’s, what God was doing in America could have been ignored. But that is not the case for what is coming.
No one will be able to ignore the great moves of God that the world will see in the near future. They will be able to be reject them; but not ignore them.
But God
Are we headed for great tribulation and VERY trying times? Yes. Absolutely. They have already begun and as I mentioned above, “we aint’ seen nutten’ yet”.
The biggest, boldest, and greatest moves of God that the planet has ever seen are right around the corner. And for those who are in union with the Most High, you will see the greatest miracles that the earth has ever known: Even much greater than during that first Exodus and all of the other revivals of days gone by. In fact, it will be so fantastic that the word “revival” doesn’t really fit. I think that this is why some have referred to it as the “end times harvest”.
What exactly is “revival”?
I think that pretty much everyone has been driving down the road, at one time or another, and has seen a large banner draped across a large building that says something like “Revival Meeting June 7th”. Of course the date is different and maybe some of the other wording but I think you will recognize what I am trying to say.
Those are not “revivals”. A revival is far more than just a jazzed up “meeting”. In most cases claims of “revival” or “camp” meetings these days are, at best, evangelistic meetings. Evangelistic meetings can be a good thing: But they are not in themselves a “revival”.
A revival can be defined as a season of unusual divine visitation resulting in deep repentance, supernatural renewal, and sweeping reformation in the Church, along with the radical conversion of sinners in the world, often producing moral, social, and even economic change in local or national communities.¹
The coming revival
Although it will not look like “revivals” of “days gone by”, this is what God is birthing now. But it’s not just in America, it’s throughout the entire world. Holy Spirit flickering flames of fire are being lit all around the world that will eventually join together to create a great inferno amidst a sea of doubt, unbelief, and opposition.
This move of God will be more powerful, more profound, and far more brazen than any other the world has ever seen. It will be greater than the first Exodus that we read about in the Bible, the battles of Israel, and the amazing miracles of the Renewed Covenant (New Testament).
We will see things that far exceed human comprehension. Those who choose union with the Divine God of the Bible will be blessed beyond measure. But like many moves of God in days gone by, this one will also be met with much opposition.
In this great move of God, enemies of the Most High will not be sitting idly by. The demonic realm will be operating at full strength while partnering with servants of the satan to prevent, disrupt, and destroy the works of God, the people of God, and even God Himself.
The challenging future
When the Most High delivered Israel from Egyptian slavery, Israel still had to go through many of the plagues, pack up, leave their homes, and travel largely on foot into unknown, rugged, wild, wilderness / desert with little to no food, water, or provisions.
They had to contend with the pursuing Egyptians, face other enemies, and perhaps the most challenging of hurdles; themselves. They had to trust this God who was leading them through the desert with high promises, a cloud by day, and a fire by night.
This is very similar to how it will be for God’s people today.
What side will you be on?
As God led Israel to the promised land, there had been a lot of doubt and unbelief in the group. So in Joshua 24:15 Joshua, the leader of Israel, instructed Israel to “choose this day whom you will serve“. This is exactly what the Spirit of God is telling His people again today: “choose this day whom you will serve“.
Yeshua Himself said something very similar when He said “He that is not with me is against me“.
Of course, Yahweh God and His people will eventually prevail in this conflict; but it will not be easy. Victory will come with a cost. All-out war has already been declared in the Heavenlies. Fence riding will soon become impossible for everyone: Prepare now because all will have to choose a side.
Conclusion
The great conflict has begun and it is brewing into culmination. It won’t be today or tomorrow but it is coming. It’s a process. This is not the end. But it is the beginning of the end as the God of glory prepares the Bride for the Messiah.
Revival and the end times harvest is coming. Preparations are being made now. There will be GREAT moves of God that will occur amidst GREAT opposition. There will be similarities but generally speaking, this revival / end times harvest of Gods people will look very different than what the world has seen before – ever.
The adversary and his minions are preparing to stop it but God is preparing a Remnant that will rise up and overcome evil with good. One New Man will join together for the glory of God. For those in union with the Creator, what we now consider to be supernatural will not be unusual. Even more healings will be released than what we have seen heretofore.
The more prepared and ready you are, the more in union with Him that you are, the more you be able to benefit from what God has to impart to you as you prepare for what lies ahead. In almost every case this will include shedding some aspect of the past or present, and it always includes equipping and other spiritual and physical preparations so that you can move forward as prepared as possible.
God is establishing “flickering flames” of revival throughout America, and even all of the world, even now. What will your part be?
